Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware fell below 3,500 units sold in new weekly Japan retail data.
Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 3,276 units between Oct. 7 and Oct. 13 to rank at No. 4 in overall sales.
It sold 4,001 units the week prior.
The Wii sold 703 units in the same period.
For the three month period ending June 30, the company recorded a net profit of $87.93 million and revenue of $831 million.
The Wii U sold 160,000 hardware units and 1.03 million software units in the first quarter. It has sold 3.91 million units worldwide to date.
Nintendo maintains a forecast of nine million units sold by fiscal Mar. 2014.
New titles to be sold include Super Mario 3D World and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD.
Nintendo in Sept. began sale of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U Deluxe Bundle.
The bundle includes a Black Deluxe Wii U console, Wii U GamePad with custom gold Zelda décor, Hyrule Historia download code, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD download code at $299.99.
