Capcom Co. this month said Dead Rising 3 for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One will incorporate SmartGlass functionality to become an in-game smartphone.
The trailer features developer commentary of the making of Dead Rising 3.
SmartGlass connectivity, compatible with Windows 8, iOS and Android SmartGlass-enabled devices, will allow users to utilize an optional in-game Zombie Defense and Control PDA to access xclusive side missions and rewards, mission tracker, Los Perdidos News Ticker, real-time map, and support applications like ZDC Military Support.
In Dead Rising 3, users control Nick Ramos through a zombie-infested Los Perdidos, California. The title will include various neighborhoods that users can scavenge to pick up weapons or combine to form new weapons.
New gameplay includes utilizing items like flairs to distract zombies and using SmartScreen functionality to call in air strikes.
Dead Rising 3 will be sold exclusively to the Xbox One Nov. 22.
