Microsoft Corp. this week said it incorporated time-of-flight technology into the Kinect camera peripheral for the Xbox One console.

A time-of-flight camera emits light signals and measures how long it takes them to return to 1/10,000,000,000 of a second.

In addition, the camera include a wider field-of-view than the prior model.

The Xbox One will utilize an 8-core AMD CPU, Radeon GPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI, and USB 3.0.

The Xbox One Day One Edition includes the Xbox One hardware, Kinect camera, Day One Controller, Xbox Live 14-Day Trial, Day One Achievement, Premium Packaging and Decal.

It will be sold Nov. 22.
