Microsoft Corp. this week said Crytek Inc.’s Ryse: Son of Rome for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One will be upscaled to 1080p resolution.
This week, Aaron Greenberg, Chief of Staff for Devices and Studios Group at Microsoft, tweeted the action title will run in native 900p resolution and be upscaled to 1080p resolution.
His rise in the ranks of the Roman army will take him from a barbarian-filled Britannia to the center of Rome.
Other characters include Vitallion, a Roman general and mentor to Marius, and Nero, emperor of Rome and father to controllers of Brittania Commodus and Basillius.
The final game will include close-quarters combat, epic battle sequences, and Kinect functionality to command troops in battle.
The Xbox One will launch Nov. 22 in the U.S. at $499.99.
