Retailers Amazon.com Inc. and Best Buy Co. Inc. this week price cut 2K Games’ Bioshock Infinite for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 to under $30 in a new retail initiative.
This week, Bioshock Infinite holds a discount price of $29.99, down from the $39.99 MSRP.
Bioshock Infinite is a first-person shooter title that includes a new protagonist hired to rescue a young woman said to be held in a sky city called Columbia.
New gameplay includes aerial combat and high-speed Sky-Lines.
The 1999 Mode offers a challenging form of play for veteran users, including demanding weapon, power, and health management and a direct ‘Game Over’ screen if the user lacks the resources to be brought back to life.
In addition, the mode includes permanent decisions that will include permanent consequences in the difficult mode.
The final game utilizes the Unreal Engine 3.
Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea, a two-part add-on campaign featuring an all-new story for Booker and Elizabeth, will be sold this fall at $15.00.
