Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware declined in the latest weekly Japan retail data.
Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 6,741 units between Aug. 26 and Sept. 1 to rank at No. 4 in overall sales.
It sold 7,030 units the week prior.
The hardware did not rank any titles in the top 10.
The Wii sold 1,141 units in the same period.
For the three month period ending June 30, the company recorded a net profit of $87.93 million and revenue of $831 million.
The Wii U sold 160,000 hardware units and 1.03 million software units in the first quarter. It has sold 3.91 million units worldwide to date.
Nintendo maintains a forecast of nine million units sold by fiscal Mar. 2014.
New titles to be sold include Super Mario 3D World and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD.
Nintendo will sell The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U Deluxe Bundle Sept. 20.
The bundle will include a Black Deluxe Wii U console, Wii U GamePad with custom gold Zelda décor, Hyrule Historia download code, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD download code at $299.99.
