Nintendo Co. this week said it will price cut the Wii U 32GB Deluxe Set hardware bundle by $50 to $299.99.
In addition, it will sell a new bundle that includes the Wii U 32GB Deluxe SKU and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD at $299.99.
The bundle will include a Black Deluxe Wii U console, Wii U GamePad with custom gold Zelda décor, Hyrule Historia download code, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD download code at $299.99.
The 8GB Basic Set SKU will be discontinued.
For the three month period ending June 30, Nintendo recorded a net profit of $87.93 million and revenue of $831 million.
The Wii U sold 160,000 hardware units and 1.03 million software units in the first quarter. It has sold 3.91 million units worldwide to date.
Nintendo maintains a forecast of nine million hardware units sold by fiscal Mar. 2014.
New titles to be sold include Super Mario 3D World and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD.
