Capcom Co.’s DuckTales: Remastered for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360, Nintendo Co.’s Wii U and the PC is a fine update to the 8-bit classic that features redrawn sprites, new voice overs, and challenging gameplay.

The controls are exact to the original and allow users to pogo-jump on enemies, swing a cane to knock objects away, and climb up and down to uncover new areas in the level.

Challenge is high with enemies that feature different cadence in movement similar to classic 8-bit platform titles released in the time period.

Users must defeat enemies like the Beagle Boys, snakes, and spiders, and avoid level traps like pitfalls and spiked ceilings. In addition, users have to beat the entire level with the provided lives or start over.

The graphics engine is good at 60 frames-per-second. Scrooge McDuck and pals feature all-new hand-drawn sprites that resemble the animated series, in addition to new authentic voice over work.

DuckTales: Remastered is a fine update to the 8-bit classic and provides fans with the same nostalgic gameplay to help Scrooge McDuck keep all the riches in his money bank.
