Sony Corp. this week said it will release the Playstation 4 hardware Nov. 15 in the U.S. and Nov. 29 in Europe.
The hardware will be sold in 32 countries this holiday.
In addition, the hardware has sold 1 million units in pre-order sales in global territories.
The PS4 will be sold at $399.99 this holiday.
The hardware will utilize a PC-like architecture with a x86-based AMD Jaguar 8-core CPU, a 1.84 TLFOPS AMD next-generation Radeon GPU, and GDDR5 8GB RAM. IN addition the hardware will feature a 6X Blu-ray disc drive, USB 3.0 interface, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, and digital output.
New titles announced for the PS4 include Killzone: Shadow Fall, DriveClub, Knack, Infamous: Second Son, and The Witness.
Third-party titles include Capcom Co.’s Deep Down, Square Enix Holdings Co.’s Final Fantasy, Ubisoft Inc.’s Watch Dogs, and Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Diablo III and Destiny.
