Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware declined in the latest weekly Japan retail data.
Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 11,373 units between July 22 and July 28 to rank at No. 4 in overall sales.
It sold 14,280 units the week prior.
The hardware ranked two titles in the top ten including LEGO City Undercover at No. 9 and Pikmin 3 at No. 10.
The Wii sold 1,442 units in the same period.
For the three month period ending June 30, the company recorded a net profit of $87.93 million and revenue of $831 million.
The Wii U sold 160,000 hardware units and 1.03 million software units in the first quarter. It has sold 3.91 million units worldwide to date.
Nintendo maintains a forecast of nine million units sold by fiscal Mar. 2014.
New titles to be sold include Super Mario 3D World and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD.
