Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS held the No. 1 hardware rank in the latest Japan retail data.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 54,975 units between July 22 and July 28 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 57,025 the week prior.

The 3DS ranked five titles in the top 10, including Capcom Co.’s Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies at No. 1 selling 250,216 units at launch, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team at No. 5, and Friend Collection: New Life at No. 6.

The Nintendo 3DS sold 1.4 million hardware units and 11.01 million software units in the quarter.

The company cited strong Q1 sales of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, and Donkey Kong Country Returns.
