Microsoft Corp. this week said it will offer a self publishing option for independent developers of the Xbox One hardware.
The program will allow small developers to publish titles that utilize all components of the hardware, including Kinect, the cloud, and Acheivements.
The company will provide further details in Aug.
The Xbox One will launch this Nov. in the U.S. at $499.99.
The Xbox One Day One Edition includes the Xbox One hardware, Kinect camera, Day One Controller, Xbox Live 14-Day Trial, Day One Achievement, Premium Packaging and Decal.
It will utilize an 8-core AMD CPU, Radeon GPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI, and USB 3.0.
Launch titles include Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, and Dead Rising 3.
