Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 ranked in the top three pre-order sales at GameStop Corp.’s online division this week post release of the Gameplay Trailer for the title.
This week, the GTA V Xbox 360 SKU ranked as the No. 2 best-selling pre-order product at GameStop.com. The PS3 SKU ranked at No. 3 in the same period.
The Gameplay Trailer features the option to switch between characters dynamically for gameplay and narrative variety, in addition to non-essential gameplay like car customization, deep sea diving, golfing, and hunting.
Grand Theft Auto V, to be sold Sept. 17, is set in a present-day Southern California location and is the largest and most thriving world in the city of Los Santos.
Each of the three main characters holds specific attributes. Michael is an ex-bank robber who can slow down time to target during gun fights, Franklin is hired muscle who can drive and take sharp corners with a similar slow down technique, and Trevor is a loose cannon that can fly into a rage to take less damage and perform a unique melee attack.
The Special Edition will include GTA V, collectible Steelbook Case with exclusive artwork, blueprint map and four pieces of digital content at $79.99.
The Collector’s Edition with include GTA V, collectible Steelbook Case with exclusive artwork, Blueprint Map, New Era 9Fifty Snapback Cap, Security Deposit Bag with Logo Key, and six pieces of digital content at $149.99.
Customers who pre-order Grand Theft Auto V will receive access to the fly the in-game Atomic Blimp.
