Sony Corp. this week said The Last of Us for the Playstation 3 has sold 3.4 million units as of July 3.
The sales figure, which includes physical copies and digital downloads, was achieved in less than three weeks since launch of the title in global territories and ranks as the fastest-selling new software title in the history of the platform.
The Last of Us includes survival and action elements amid abandoned cities decimated by a plague.
Users will guide the survivors to journey across the U.S.
Action elements include third-person shooting and contextual melee struggles against enemies.
The Survival Edition includes the Steelbook Edition of the game, Artbook, The Last of Us – American Dreams #1 Comic, Sights and Sounds DLC Pack, and Naughty Dog Sticker Sheet at $79.99.
The Post-Pandemic Edition includes a 12-inch Premium Statue, Steelbook Edition of the game, The Last of Us – American Dreams #1 Comic, Survival DLC Pack, Sights and Sounds DLC Pack, and Naughty Dog Sticker Sheet at $159.99.
The Survival Pack DLC Pack includes Bonus Experience Points, Multiplayer Melee Attack Booster, In Game Currency for Multiplayer Characters, Customizable Items for Multiplayer, and Bonus Skins for Joel and Ellie.
