Silicon Studio this week released a Tech Demo Trailer for the YEBIS 2 development studio for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4.
The trailer features a side-by-side comparison of YEBIS 2 post-processing effects on and off.
The middleware solution allows developers to deploy real-time post-processing to add visual effects like glare effects, depth-of-field, active color adjustment, and cross-platform compatibility.
The PS4 will be sold at $399.99 this holiday.
The hardware will utilize a PC-like architecture with a x86-based AMD Jaguar 8-core CPU, a 1.84 TLFOPS, AMD next-generation Radeon GPU, and GDDR5 8GB RAM. In addition, the hardware will feature a 6X Blu-ray disc drive, USB 3.0 interface, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, and digital output.
