Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware held in fourth in latest weekly Japan retail data.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 7,060 units between June 24 and June 30 to rank at No. 4 in overall sales.

It sold 5,329 units the week prior.

The hardware did not rank any titles in the top 10.

The Wii sold 1,338 units in the same period.

For the year ending Mar. 31, 2013, Nintendo held a net profit of $71.7 million, up from a $531 million loss the year prior.

In addition, it held an operating loss of $366 million for the fiscal year.

Nintendo sold 3.45 million Wii U consoles by Mar., lower than the four million target forecast. It expects the Wii U to sell nine million units by the next fiscal year and 38 million Wii U software units due to a strong second-half lineup.

New titles to be sold include Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD.
