Media Create Co. this month reported the PS3 sold 9,816 units between June 17 and June 23 to rank No. 3 in overall hardware sales.
By comparison, the hardware sold 10,872 units the week prior.
The hardware ranked one title in the top 10, The Last of Us at No. 1 selling 117,465 units at launch in the region.
Sony this week release System Software v4.46 for the Playstation 3 to address an issue from a prior update that fails to display the XMB interface.
Users can manually download the latest system software, boot into Safe Mode, or update normally for consoles that can display the XMB.
Firmware update 4.45 was released in June and consumers subsequently held claims of ‘bricked’ consoles post install of the update.

Blacklight Retribution is a free-to-play first-person shooter that will include premium paid options.

Knack, to be sold this holiday, is an action-platform title, that features a particle-based lead character that can transform into different forms small and large to defeat an army of enemies.

Muramasa Rebirth is an action RPG title follow-up to Murasama: The Demon Blade.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox 360 sold 282 units between June 17 and June 23 to rank No. 7 in overall sales.

Respawn Entertainment this week said EA Inc.’s Titanfall for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the PC will utilize Xbox Live Cloud technology.
The title will utilize cloud technology to run dedicated servers for multiplayer sessions. The technology can allow the developers to scale task work up and down depending on the number of users, or upload new programs for deployment.
Developed by Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall will include ground and mech combat. The title will include a single player campaign and multiplayer mode.
The Xbox One SKU is said to utilize cloud computing resources to offload physics and AI routines.

Microsoft this week announced Time Warner Cable will offer up to 300 live TV channels to Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Gold members to existing Time Warner customers.
The new partnership will allow subscribers to view channels including AMC, BBC World News, Bravo, Cartoon Network, CNN, Comedy Central, Food Network, and HGTV from their Xbox 360 console via Xbox Live.

The Wii sold 1,234 units in the same period.
Nintendo this week released a new update to the Miiverse component of the Wii U hardware that offers additional functionality to the social component.
The update adds Twitter functionality to tweet Miiverse comments and increases the length of text posts.
Miiverse allows Wii U owners to write or draw live comments for game titles. In addition, users can ‘Yeah!’ to like select comments.
