Microsoft Corp. this week announced Time Warner Cable will offer up to 300 live TV channels to Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Gold members to existing Time Warner customers.
The new partnership will allow subscribers to view channels including AMC, BBC World News, Bravo, Cartoon Network, CNN, Comedy Central, Food Network, and HGTV from their Xbox 360 console via Xbox Live.
The Time Warner Cable App will launch later this summer.
Microsoft in Apr. said the Entertainment and Devices division generated $2.53 billion in the third quarter, a 56 percent increase from 2012.
It held an operating income of $342 million in the quarter.
In addition, the Xbox Live division currently holds 48 million members.
Microsoft will release the Xbox One entertainment system in Nov.
