Nintendo Co. this month demonstrated Bayonetta 2 for the Wii U at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
In the preview, Bayonetta battled multiple demons aboard an aircraft and subsequently a speeding train in a non-stop action sequence.
Controls were quick and responsive with two attack options, jump, dodge, and the Umbra Climax special that, when fully charged, will allow users to wield a giant weave to beat down a large array of enemies.
Boss enemies were impressive in scale. In order to combat the large beasts, the user can time a dodge which will slow down combat and allow a window for multiple hits.
The graphics engine was excellent at 60 frames-per-second. The title includes complex moving backdrops, multiple on-screen enemies, and large boss encounters that maintains the fast frame rate.
Developed by Platinum Games, Bayonetta 2 will feature brand new sensationalized action sequences and new touch-based control options.
The title will be released at a to be determined date.
