Pre-order sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 led over Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One Tues. at Amazon.com Inc. this week following the retail price announcement of both consoles.

This week, the PS4 ranked as the No. 1 pre-order product at Amazon’s Video Games division.

The Xbox One ranked at No. 2 in the same period.

The PS4 will be sold at $399.99 this holiday.

The hardware will utilize a PC-like architecture with a x86-based AMD Jaguar 8-core CPU, a 1.84 TLFOPS AMD next-generation Radeon GPU, and GDDR5 8GB RAM. In addition the hardware will feature a 6X Blu-ray disc drive, USB 3.0 interface, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, and digital output.

The Xbox One will be sold at $499.99 this Nov.

The Xbox One will utilize an 8-core AMD CPU, Radeon GPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI, and USB 3.0.
