Nintendo Co. this week said it will release Super Smash Bros. to the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in 2014.
Nintendo released Wii U, the successor the Wii hardware, to the U.S. market in 2012.
Nintendo in Apr. said the Nintendo 3DS has sold more than 20 million physical game units in the U.S. to date.
The company cited strong sales for new 3DS titles including Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, and Fire Emblem: Awakening.
New upcoming 3DS titles include Yoshi’s Island, Mario Party, The Legend of Zelda and Mario Golf.
