Microsoft Corp. this week said the May 21 Xbox One reveal drove record-breaking viewership.
The company said more than 8.45 million watched the Xbox One reveal in the first 24 hours. The Xbox.com livestream held three times the amount of traffic versus any prior event held by the site.
In addition, 1.73 million viewed the Xbox reveal broadcast on Spike TV.
The Xbox One will utilize an 8-core CPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI, and USB 3.0.
The new Kinect, included with each Xbox One, includes a 1080p HD RGB camera and features 30 frames-per-second color, Time of Flight technology, and Microphone Arrays.
The Xbox One Controller features an integrated battery compartment, Impulse Triggers, Wi-Fi Direct Radio Stack, and a Precision Directional Pad.
The Xbox One will launch later this year.
