Sony Corp. this week released a teaser trailer for the Playstation 4 in a preview of the company’s annual E3 press conference.
The teaser trailer features quick cuts of the final hardware and closes with a June 10, 2013 press conference date.
PS4 hardware will utilize a PC-like architecture with a x86-based AMD Jaguar 8-core CPU, a 1.84 TLFOPS AMD next-generation Radeon GPU, and GDDR5 8GB RAM. IN addition the hardware will feature a 6X Blu-ray disc drive, USB 3.0 interface, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, and digital output.
New titles announced for the PS4 include Killzone Shadow Fall, Driveclub, Infamous: Second Son, and The Witness.
Third-party titles include Capcom Co.’s Deep Down, Square Enix Holdings Co.’s Final Fantasy, Ubisoft Inc.’s Watch Dogs, and Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Diablo III and Destiny.
Pricing and release date information for the PS4 will be disclosed at a later date.
