Microsoft Corp. this week said the Xbox 360 ranked as the top-selling game hardware in U.S. Apr. 2013 sales figures.
The Xbox 360 sold 131,000 units to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the month in figures provided by NPD Group Inc.
In addition, the hardware held a 42 percent share of current-generation console sales.
Retail spend on the platform totaled $208 million for the month.
Microsoft in Apr. said the Entertainment and Devices division generated $2.53 billion in the third quarter, a 56 percent increase from 2012.
It held an operating income of $342 million in the quarter.
In addition, the Xbox Live division currently holds 46 million members.
