Nintendo Co. this week said New Super Mario Bros. U for the Wii U has sold 770,000 units to date at U.S. retail.

The figures includes both physical and digital sales of the title.

The company said in Dec. 2012 said New Super Mario Bros. U held a 60 percent attach rate to Wii U hardware purchases.

New Super Mario Bros. U includes brand new 5-player co-op gameplay that utilizes the Wii U GamePad.

New power-ups include the Flying Squirrel and multiple new baby Yoshi characters.

The final game includes a new Miiverse social window to allow users to communicate between levels.
