Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS held the No. 1 hardware rank in the latest Japan retail data.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 46,723 units between Apr. 8 and Apr. 14 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 56,864 the week prior.

The 3DS ranked four titles in the top 10, including Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon at No. 1, Card Fight!! Vanguard: Ride to Victory at No. 2, Animal Crossing: New Leaf at No. 3, and New Super Mario Bros. 2 at No. 9.

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon has sold 515,975 units in the region to date.

Nintendo in Apr. said the Nintendo 3DS has sold more than 20 million physical game units in the U.S. to date.

The company cited strong sales for new 3DS titles including Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, and Fire Emblem: Awakening.

New upcoming 3DS titles include Yoshi’s Island, Mario Party, The Legend of Zelda and Mario Golf.
