Nintendo Co. this week said it will release a new entry in The Legend of Zelda franchise to the Nintendo 3DS this holiday.

The new title will be based in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past universe, released to the SNES in 1992. It will utilize new 3D functionality and will allow Link to become a drawing and move along walls.

The Legend of Zelda 3DSIn addition, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, released to the Game Boy Color in 2001, will be available at the Nintendo eShop May 30.

Other new 3DS titles include a new Mario Party title, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, three original titles from Level-5 Inc., and Mario Golf: World Tour.

Finally, an Animal Crossing: New Leaf Hardware Bundle will be sold June 9 at $219.99.
