Capcom Co. this week released new details for Resident Evil Revelations to Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360, Nintendo Co.’s Wii U and the PC.
New character Rachel will be available in the title’s new Raid Mode. In addition, new enemies include the Wall Blister and a new creature in Raid Mode.
The Wii U SKU will allow users to utilize the Wii U GamePad to access their map and inventory, use the Wii U Pro Controller or use the play to the GamePad with the Off TV feature. In addition, Miiverse functionality will allow users to post a message at the Game Over screen and the new Creatures Voice function allows users to personalize thoughts of enemies in Raid Mode to taunt other players.
The Resident Evil Revelations console and PC versions will include enhanced HD graphics, online Raid Mode co-op functionality, Hunk playable character in Raid Mode, a new enemy, new Raid weapons, Infernal Mode difficulty setting which includes increased difficulty and remixed enemy and item placement, and new Custom Parts to outfit weaponry.
The survival horror title, to be sold May. 21, will be sold at retail at $49.99. In addition, it will be sold digitally at launch to the PS3 and the PC, with Xbox 360 and Wii U digital releases to be sold post launch.
Resident Evil Revelations, released to the Nintendo 3DS in 2012, introduces the Federal Bioterrorism Commission and the city of Terrogrigia, which was destroyed in a terrorist attack by an organization called Veltro.
