Sony Corp. this week announced the Xperia Z smartphone at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.
The Xperia Z smartphone features a 5-inch Full HD 1080p 443 dpi display, Snapdragon S4 quad-core 1.5Ghz CPU, 13MP camera, HDR video, NFC technology, 4G LTE functionality, and the Android 4.1 OS.
Finally, a Battery Stamina mode is said to improve battery life by four times or more by automatically shutting off battery-draining apps.
The Xperia Z feels like a premium device with a glass front and back. The 1080p resolution offered crisp text from the Chrome browser and the waterproof chasis worked as advertised.
The Xperia Z will be sold in Q1 2013.
