LG Corp. this week announced it will sell a 55-inch OLED HDTV at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.

The 55-inch OLED HDTV will be sold the U.S. this Mar. at $12,000.

The product weights 22 pounds and is 0.16 inches thin. The 55-inch OLED HDTV is the largest OLED display to be sold in global markets.

OLED, or Organic Light-Emitting Diode, technology offer vibrant displays in thinner and lighter frames than current LCD or LED prodcuts.

The product will begin shipment in Korea next month.
