Retailer Amazon.com Inc. this week price cut EA Inc.’s Battlefield 3 Premium membership for the PC by 50 percent in a new digital sale.
This week, the Battlefield 3 Premium Service sells at $24.99, 50 percent off the $49.99 MSRP.
Battlefield 3 Premium, which began sale June 4, includes five themed expansion packs, early access to all future expansion packs, unique in-game items, the ability to reset stats, queue priority into servers, and new decals for a one-time fee of $49.99.
In addition, the service offers members-only events, strategy guides, and videos from DICE.
Battlefield 3 Premium follows the release of Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Call of Duty: Elite service, which registered seven million members post launch in Nov. 2011.
Battlefield 3, released Oct. 24, 2012, includes the Frostbite 2 engine, online vehicle warfare with land, sea, and air vehicles, and combat across the U.S., Europe, and Middle East.
The title has sold more than 12 million units to date.
