Microsoft Corp. this week said the Cloud Saved Games feature for the Xbox 360 after a multi-day outage.

The company apologized for the delay and inconvenience of the feature outage, which allows Xbox 360 owners to save game progress to the cloud rather than traditional hard drive or memory storage.

As a result, Microsoft is offering a one-month extension of Xbox Live Gold service to members affected by the outage.

The company launched the Cloud Saved Games feature in July 2012. In addition to game saves the option allows a user to access Xbox Live account Microsoft Points, Achievements, and Friends list from any Xbox 360 console.
