Nintendo Co. this week released Shock Troopers 2nd Squad to the Wii Virtual Console.

Shock Troopers 2nd Squad, originally released to the Neo Geo in 1998, is a two-player co-op top-down shooter. The title sells at 900 Wii Points.

Nintendo in Oct. lowered full-year net income by 70 percent to six billion yen, or $75 million. It previously estimated net income at 20 billion yen.

For the first half of the fiscal year, Nintendo held revenue of $2.5 billion, down from $2.7 billion one year ago. It posted a loss of $359.8 million compared to a loss of $880.7 million one year prior.

The Wii holds a global install base of 51 million units.

Nintendo released Wii U, the successor the Wii hardware, to the U.S. market Nov. 18.
