Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 held as the top Xbox Live games in the latest activity data.
This week, Microsoft said Call of Duty: Black Ops II ranked as the No. 1 Xbox Live title for the week of Dec. 3 based on unique users.
Halo 4 ranked at No. 2 and Minecraft ranked at No. 3 in the same period.
Activision Blizzard in Dec. said Call of Duty: Black Ops II generated $1 billion in the first 15 days of sale at global retail.
By comparison, Modern Warfare 3 raked in $1 billion in the first 16 days of sale in 2012 and Black Ops took $360 million in the first 24 hours in 2011.
The title includes a brand new single-player campaign and multiplayer functionality.
Halo 4 is the beginning of Reclaimer Saga, an epic new adventure in the Halo universe.
The title includes a new Spartan Ops mode to extend the campaign experience with new weekly downloadable episodes to be played solo or in co-op.
In addition, the title includes brand new multiplayer game modes, weapons, vehicles, armor abilities, loadouts, and progression system.
