Retailer Amazon.com Inc. this week price cut Bethesda Softworks’ Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 in a new game sale.

This week, customers can purchase The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim PS3 or Xbox 360 SKU at $39.99, 33 percent off the $59.99 MSRP.

The The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open-world fantasy in which users have freedom of choice and the option to choose hundreds of weapons, spells, and abilities.

Bethesda Softworks in May said it will release the Dawnguard DLC to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to the Xbox 360 this summer.

The publisher said details of the new expansion will be released at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June.

Microsoft in May released a patch to add Kinect support to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Xbox 360.

The patch adds more than 200 voice commands to cast spells, control allies, and the ability to assign hot key commands.
