Sony Corp. this week released a new Black Friday bundle that includes the Playstation 3 250GB SKU with games and a Playstation Plus membership at under $200.
The PS3 Black Friday Bundle included the PS3 250GB SKU, Uncharted Dual Pack with Uncharted and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Infamous Collection, and a 30-day trial Playstation Plus Membership at $199.99.
Sony in the fall launched two brand new PS3 SKUs to retail.
The Playstation 3 Slim 500GB Assassin’s Creed Bundle includes the PS3 500GB CECH-4000 hardware, Assassin’s Creed III, 30-day Playstation Plus Membership and Dualshock 3 Controller at $299.99.
The Playstation 3 Slim 250GB Uncharted 3 Bundle, released in late Sept., includes the new, slim PS3 250GB hardware SKU, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception: Game of the Year Edition, and the digital title Dust 514 at $269.99.
Sony this week released Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale for the Playstation 3 and the Playstation Vita to U.S. retail.
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale features trademark characters from Playstation franchises, including Parappa the Rapper, Kratos from God of War, Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal, Col. Radec from Killzone, and Fat Princess.
Sony this week said it will release the Resistance Collection for the Playstation 3 Dec. 5.
The compilation SKU will include Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and Resistance 3 at $39.99.
In addition, the title will include bonus DLC content for Resistance 2 and Resistance 3.
Sony this week said Jetpack Joyride is now available for the Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, and PSP as a digital download title at the Playstation Store.
Jetpack Joyride, a hit mobile title, allows users to fire bullets to keep the main character in the air as he weaves through missiles, electric lines, and other hazards.
In addition, users can upgrade their gear and unlock 34 in-game achievements.
The title sells at $3.99 at the Playstation Network.
Atlus Inc. this week released Persona 4 Golden for the Playstation Vita to U.S. retail.
Persona 4 Golden is an enhanced and expanded version of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4. The title includes new Personas, new story events, an all-new character, new cutscenes and more.
Sony this week said it will release Uncharted: Fight for Fortune to the Playstation Vita.
Developed by Bend Studio, Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is an action adventure turn-based card battle game heroes, villains, and mercenaries from the Uncharted universe.
The title will be sold Dec. 4 at $4.99 as a digital download product.
Microsoft this week announced that all of ESPN’s live network programming is now available in the Xbox Live division of the Xbox 360.
Programming includes ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU, Buzzer Beater and Goal Line.
Current ESPN application features for Xbox Live include My Sports to choose favorite sports teams, Mini Guide to preview and quick access content, Split Screen to watch two events at once, Gesture Control and Voice Control via Kinect, Reminders to tag important events, Interactive ESPN Bottomline for breaking news and score updates.
Capcom Co. this week released the DmC: Devil May Cry demo to the Playstation Network and Xbox Live.
The demo includes two levels from the final game, including a boss fight.
DmC: Devil May Cry, developed by Ninja Theory, is a reboot of the action franchise set in a parallel universe to the main franchise.
The title will feature an infested modern world with new demonic threats that Dante must defeat utilizing trademark combo attacks.
It will be sold Jan. 15, 2013 at U.S. retail.
A PC version will be sold later in 2013.
