Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita ranked fourth in the latest retail data from Japan.
The PS Vita sold 5,806 units between Oct. 22 and Oct. 28 to rank as the No. 4 hardware for the week.
By comparison, the hardware sold 6,791 the week prior.
The hardware did not rank any titles in the top 10 for the week.
Meanwhile, the PSP sold 15,575 units to rank at No. 3 in the same period.
The PSP ranked one title in the top 10, The Idolmaster: Shiny Festa at No. 1 with 119,132 units sold at launch.
The Playstation Vita and PSP sold 1.6 million units combined in the second quarter, a decline from 1.7 million units one year ago.
Sony cut its handheld sales forecast for the fiscal year ending June 2013 to 10 million units from 12 million.
The game business division held $1.9 billion in revenue, down from $2.2 billion and $28.8 million in operating income, down from $37.5 million year-over-year.
The PS Vita, which began sale Feb. 22 in the U.S., is sold in a Wi-Fi only model at $249.99 and a 3G model at $299.99.
