2K Games this week said Borderlands 2 for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360, and the PC sold-in five million units to global retail since launch in Sept.

The title sold 1.48 million units to rank at No. 2 in U.S. Sept. software sales.

2K Games in Oct. released the first paid DLC for the title, Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty.

In Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty, up to four players can enter the wasteland of Pirate Bay to search for ancient treasures.

The add-on content campaign includes new characters, locations, and enemies.

Borderlands 2 includes a full single-player campaign, split-screen online functionality, and 4-player co-op functionality.

The final game includes a unique Action Skill per character and a Skill Tree to upgrade a custom play style.

The Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition includes an exclusive SteelBook case, numbered certificate of authenticity, creatures of Pandora wide format ID chart and four lithograph postcards with a Marcus Kincaid bobble head, hardbound art book, cloth math of Pandora, comic book download and four sticker set at $149.99.

The Deluxe Vault Hunters Collector’s Edition includes an authentic Marcus Kincaid bobble head, hardbound art book, map of Pandora, comic book download and a four sticker set at $99.99.
