Nintendo Co. this week said owners of the Wii U Deluxe Set SKU can earn points for digital purchases through 2014.
In the Deluxe Digital Promotion, owners will earn points equivalent to 10 percent of the product price when they purchase downloadable games and download codes that can be used to purchase additional digital content from the Nintendo eShop.
A total of 500 points will equal to a $15 credit to be used at the Nintendo eShop for the Wii U or Nintendo 3DS.
The promotion will be valid through Dec. 31, 2014.
The Wii U will be sold in two SKUs Nov. 18.
The Basic Set will include the Wii U console and the Wii U GamePad in White, 8GB storage, AC adapters, HDMI cable and Wii U sensor bar at $299.99.
The Deluxe Set will include the Wii U console and Wii U GamePad in Black, 32GB storage, GamePad Charging Cradle, Stands for the GamePad and Console, AC adapters, HDMI cable, and Nintendo Land at $349.99.
The Wii U is backwards compatible with most Wii games and accessories, including the Wii Remote, Nunchuck, and Wii Balance Board.
In addition, the Wii U Pro Controller will be sold at launch at $49.99.
