Nintendo Co.’s Wii U Pro Controller will boast an 80-hour battery life on a single charge in retail product data.
A product listing for the new peripheral claims the controller will last up to 80 hours on a single charge.
By comparison, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 Wireless Controller claims battery life of 25 hours per charge, while Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 Dualshock 3 Controller offers 30 hours of battery life per charge.
The Wii U Pro Controller, to be sold Nov. 18, will feature a traditional console controller layout at $49.99.
Nintendo will sell the Wii U in the U.S. Nov. 18 in two product SKUs.
The Basic Set will include the Wii U console and the Wii U GamePad in White, 8GB storage, AC adapters, HDMI cable and Wii U sensor bar at $299.99.
The Deluxe Set will include the Wii U console and Wii U GamePad in Black, 32GB storage, GamePad Charging Cradle, Stands for the GamePad and Console, AC adapters, HDMI cable, and Nintendo Land at $349.99.
The Wii U is backwards compatible with most Wii games and accessories, including the Wii Remote, Nunchuck, and Wii Balance Board.
