Sony this week said the Total Recall Blu-ray disc will include the God of War: Ascension demo for the Playstation 3.
The Total Recall Director’s Cut Blu-ray disc, to be sold Dec. 18, will include a demo said to preview the new mechanics and combat systems to be found in the final game.
God of War: Ascension, which is a prequel to the God of War franchise, will feature Kratos prior to his consumption of rage when he breaks a blood-oath to an unjust god.

Namco Bandai Games America Inc. this week released Dragon Ball Z for the Kinect for Xbox 360.
Developed by Spike Chunsoft Co. Ltd., Dragon Ball Z for Kinect will include more than 100 motion-based moves and more than 50 playable characters.
The title offers a first-person view for dramatic battles created from the manga series.
The final game includes a Story mode to perform franchise attacks and movements, in addition to a Score Attack mode for one-on-one score-based battles.
Microsoft this week released Fable: The Journey for Kinect for Xbox 360.
Fable: The Journey is a new first-person RPG that includes gesture-based controls.
The final game includes motion-based weapon attacks, spell attacks, and the Unreal Engine 3 graphics engine.
2K Games this week said Borderlands 2 sold nearly 1.5 million units in the first month of release.
The publisher said the title sold 1.48 million units to rank at No. 2 in U.S. Sept. software sales.

Madden NFL 13 includes a new Madden Ultimate Team Mode to collect virtual cards with new content and updates that mirror current NFL events for the year.
Capcom Co. this week said a new Title Update for Resident Evil 6 will unlock the Ada campaign and No Hope difficulty option.
The Ada campaign, previously unlockable by beating all three main campaigns, will be unlocked and include an option for two-player co-op.
In addition, the update will add the No Hope difficulty setting, the hardest difficulty mode for the game.
The update will be available at no cost.
Capcom Co. this week released the trailer for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U.
The trailer demonstrates features from the final game, including the option to share save data and cross-platform play between the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, to be sold Mar. 2013, will include touch-screen access to inventory and more than 200 quests.
Namco Bandai Games America Inc. this week released new details for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition for the Wii U.
The Wii U Edition will include the option to outfit Tekken characters in Nintendo character costumes like Toad, Princess Peach, Sheik, and Captain Falcon.
In addition, the title will include Tekken Ball, a volleyball side game last released in Tekken 3.

U.S. division president Reggie Fils-Aime told The Seattle Times this week that the Wii U can last the company through the next-generation.
“It’s based on having great graphics, it’s based on having a robust online execution. We believe that this system is going to have a very long life, and it’s going to be very well supported by third-party publishers,” Fils-Aime said.
When asked whether the console can fend off the next Playstation and Xbox, Fils-Aime said it probably can.
