Target Corp. this week began holding a new video game sale that discounts select titles for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 and Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo DS in a new retail initiative.
Discounted titles include Max Payne 3 at $41.99, NCAA Football 13 at $41.99, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier at $41.99, and Cars 2 at $17.49.
The Xbox 360 sold 203,000 units to rank as the No. 1 game hardware in July in figures provided by NPD Group Inc.
Video game sales fell 20 percent from one year prior to $548.4 million in the period.
Hardware sales fell 32 percent to $150.7 million from one year ago.
