Nintendo Co. this week detailed enhancements for the Nintendo 3DS XL in the final design of the premium handheld SKU.
The company this week said glare has been reduced to three percent from 12 percent due to specially treating all three layers of the main display screen.
In addition, the larger LCD screen increases the parallax effect produced in 3D mode to allow for added depth.
The Nintendo 3DS XL will include a 4.88-inch main display, 90 percent larger the current Nintendo 3DS, and include a 4GB SD card. It will hold an MSRP of $199.99, $20 more than the standard 3DS.
Nintendo launched the Nintendo 3DS handheld with 18 software titles Mar. 27.
The hardware includes two screens, a 3D Depth Slider, a Circle Pad, a 2GB SD Card and 3-D display technology that does not require the use of special glasses.
