Microsoft Corp. this week will release Mars Rover Landing, a new download software product in partnership with NASA to allow users to control a virtual Mars Rover.
Beginning Aug. 6, users can download the title via Xbox Live to take control of a virtual spacecraft and experience the challenge of landing the rover on Mars using the Kinect sensor.
The Mars Rover landing is scheduled to take place on Aug. 5.
Microsoft has sold 18 million Kinect sensors globally.
The Xbox 360 has sold 66 million units worldwide to date.
