Nintendo Co. this week said it will demonstrate the Nintendo 3DS XL at the Comic-Con International 2012 Convention in San Diego July 12 to 15 prior to the handheld’s launch in Aug.
Additionally, Nintendo will hold a Nintendo Gaming Lounge at the Marriott Marquis & Marina to demonstrate new Nintendo 3DS titles, including New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon.
The Nintendo 3DS XL, to be sold Aug. 19, will include a 4.88-inch main display, 90 percent larger the current Nintendo 3DS, and include a 4GB SD card. It will hold an MSRP of $199.99, $20 more than the standard 3DS.
Nintendo launched the Nintendo 3DS handheld with 18 software titles Mar. 27.
The hardware includes two screens, a 3D Depth Slider, a Circle Pad, a 2GB SD Card and 3-D display technology that does not require the use of special glasses.
