Retailer GameStop Corp. this week discounted Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Inc.’s Mortal Kombat for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita to under $20 in a new sales initiative.

This week, Mortal Kombat holds a sale price of $19.99, $20 of the $39.99 MSRP.

Developed by NetherRealm Studios, the title builds upon the 2011 release with original game content and new features.

Mortal Kombat, released in 2011, is a reboot of the classic fight franchise with new fatalities, x-ray moves, and a 2-D fighting plane.

The PS Vita, which began sale Feb. 22 in the U.S., is sold in a Wi-Fi only model at $249.99 and a 3G model at $299.99.
