GameStop Corp. this month began selling Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS handheld with a bonus game in a new hardware sales initiative.
This week, customers who purchase any Nintendo 3DS SKU at GameStop.com will receive a choice of Steel Diver or Pilotwings Resort at no additional cost.
Nintendo will release the new Nintendo 3DS XL SKU in Aug.
The Nintendo 3DS XL will include a 4.88-inch main display, 90 percent larger the current Nintendo 3DS, and include a 4GB SD card. It will hold an MSRP of $199.99, $20 more than the standard 3DS.
Nintendo launched the Nintendo 3DS handheld with 18 software titles Mar. 27.
The hardware includes two screens, a 3D Depth Slider, a Circle Pad, a 2GB SD Card and 3-D display technology that does not require the use of special glasses.
