Media Create Co. this week reported the PS3 sold 14,673 units between June 11 and June 17 to rank No. 3 in overall hardware sales.
By comparison, the hardware sold 15,593 units to rank third the week prior.
Sony this week announced new titles available for download at the Playstation Network division of the Playstation 3.
New PSN download titles include Magic: The Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers at $9.99.
New PS3 Full Games include Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier at $59.99 and Two Worlds II Game of the Year Edition at $29.99.
New PS Vita titles include LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes at $39.99.
Retailer Amazon.com Inc. this week discounted pre-order sales for Sony Corp.’s Ratchet & Clank Collection to the Playstation 3 to under $30 in a new game sale.
This week, the Ratchet & Clank Collection holds a pre-order sale price of $29.99, $10 off the $39.99 MSRP.
Ratchet & Clank Collection, to be sold Oct. 2, will include remastered versions of Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal in 1080p HD or 720p in stereoscopic 3D.
Digital Reality Publishing this week said Sine Mora will be sold via the Playstation Network division of Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3.

Capcom Co. this week said it will release Okami HD to the Playstation Network division this fall.
The title is a high-definition remaster of the Nintendo GameCube and Playstation 2 action adventure title. It will include new functionality to control the Celestial Brush with the Playstation Move or a standard Dualshock controller.

This week, the God of War: Ascension Collector’s Edition ranked as the No. 10 best-selling product in Amazon’s Video Games division.
Customers who pre-order the God of War: Ascension Collector’s Edition will receive the Mythological Heroes Multiplayer Pack.

Sales for the Playstation Vita climbed 150 percent in Japan amid launch of Atlus Inc.’s Persona 4 Golden.
The PS Vita sold 34,459 units between June 11 and June 17 to rank as the No. 2 hardware for the week.
By comparison, the hardware sold 13,383 the week prior.
The hardware ranked one title in top 10 sales, Persona 4 Golden at No. 1 with 137,076 units sold at launch.
Meanwhile, the PSP sold 9,740 units to rank No. 4 in the same period.
Sony this week released new DLC for Wipeout 2048 for the Playstation Vita.
The Wipeout 2048 Wipeout HD Add-on Pack includes the full single-player Wipeout HD campaign mode and all multiplayer tracks at $7.99.
The Wipeout 2048 Wipeout HD Fury Bundle includes all 24 Wipeout HD tracks, 12 reverse tracks, four Zone Mode tracks, 24 ships from all Wipeout HD titles, Zone Mode ship and full crossplay access at $7.99.

By comparison, the hardware sold 1,001 units the week prior.
The hardware ranked one title in top 10 game sales, Lollipop Chainsaw at No. 9 with 14,422 copies at launch.
Microsoft this week released a new System Update for the Xbox 360 hardware via the Xbox Live division.
The new mandatory update is said to enable an easy update to be released this fall.
Microsoft Corp. this week began holding a new Games on Demand sale in the Xbox Live division of the Xbox 360 that discounts select download titles by up to 75 percent off.
Discounted titles at $4.99 include Bionic Commando, Bomberman Act: Zero, Rockstar Table Tennis, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, and Virtua Tennis 2009.
Microsoft this week said it will begin the Xbox Live Summer of Arcade program July 18.
The company will release a new title to the Xbox Live Arcade division beginning in mid-July beginning with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD at 1200 Microsoft Points.
Additional titles include Wreckateer (July 25) at 800 Microsoft Points, Deadlight (Aug. 1) at 1200 Microsoft Points, Hybrid (Aug. 8) at 1200 Microsoft Points, and Dust: An Elysian Tail (Aug. 15) at 1200 Microsoft Points.
Bioware Corp. this week said it will release the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC June 26.
The Extended Cut DLC will be released at no cost and is said to contain additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes to provide context and clarity to the ending.
It will require 1.9GB of storage.
Capcom Co. this week detailed new co-op functionality for Resident Evil 6.
Resident Evil 6 will include crossover scenarios in each of its three campaigns to allow four online users to randomly join and take out an enemy boss. Prior to the scenario, users will be prompted to join live players at the same section of the campaign. Alternatively, users can refuse and play the section solo with three AI characters.
While there isn’t a specific option to invite friends in Crossover situation, users can play two-player co-op and enter the section together to ensure one friend is in the battle.

Bethesda Softworks this week said The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Dawnguard DLC for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 will be released June 26.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Dawnguard DLC will be sold this summer at 1600 Microsoft Points.
Bethesda Softworks and id Software this said it will release Doom 3 BFG Edition Oct. 16.
Doom 3 BFG Edition will include Doom, Doom 2, Doom 3, Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, and a brand new Doom 3 mission with seven levels and a new boss.
Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii hardware fell below 6,000 units in retail data from Japan.
Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the Wii sold 5,963 units between June 11 and June 17 to rank No. 5 in overall sales.
By comparison, the Wii sold 6,029 units the week prior.
Mario Party 9 ranked as the No. 8 best-selling software for the week. It has sold 433,787 units in the region to date.
Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS declined but held the top sales rank in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.
Media Create Co. this week said the Nintendo 3DS sold 61,793 units between June 11 and June 17 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.
The hardware sold 64,875 the week prior.
The 3DS ranked three titles in top 10, including Square Enix Holdings Co.’s Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D at No. 2 and Mario Tennis Open at No. 7, and Super Mario 3D Land at No. 10.
Meanwhile, the Nintendo DSi LL sold 689 units and the Nintendo DSi sold 380 units for the week.
Nintendo this week released Pokemon Conquest for the Nintendo DS to U.S. retail.
Developed by Tecmo Koei Games Co., Ltd, the 2D strategy title allows users to recruit Warrior allies to strengthen a kingdom.
Pokemon Conquest includes more than 200 Pokemon, many from the Pokemon White and Pokemon Black Version games.
Microsoft Corp. this week said it will manufacture and release a new tablet product called Microsoft Surface.
Microsoft Surface includes 10.6-inch Gorilla Glass screen, HDMI, USB 3.0, front and rear cameras, kickstand, and 2×2 MIMO Wi-Fi antennas.
The company announced two SKUs, one with Windows RT and an Nvidia GPU and another with an Intel Core i5 CPU with Windows 8 Pro. The latter will weigh less than two pounds and be less than 14mm thick
In addition, the product can be used with a magnet-based Touch Cover, which includes a built-in keyboard and multi-touch trackpad.
Surface for Windows RT will be sold in 32 and 64GB SKUs and priced like comparable ARM-based CPU tablets.
Surface for Windows 8 Pro will be sold in 64GB and 128GB SKUs priced comparable to ultrabooks.
