Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita climbed 150 percent in Japan amid launch of Atlus Inc.’s Persona 4 Golden.
The PS Vita sold 34,459 units between June 11 and June 17 to rank as the No. 2 hardware for the week.
By comparison, the hardware sold 13,383 the week prior.
The hardware ranked one title in top 10 sales, Persona 4 Golden at No. 1 with 137,076 units sold at launch.
Meanwhile, the PSP sold 9,740 units to rank No. 4 in the same period.
The PS Vita, which began sale Feb. 22 in the U.S., is sold in a Wi-Fi only model at $249.99 and a 3G model at $299.99.
