Retailer Amazon.com Inc. this week struck down Atlus Inc.’ Dark Souls for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 to under $30 in a new game sale.
This week, the Dark Souls PS3 and Xbox 360 SKU each hold a discount price of $29.99, $10 off the $39.99 MSRP.
Atlus will release the Dark Souls: Atorias of the Abyss DLC to the Playstation Network division and the Xbox Live division this winter.
The Dark Souls: Atorias of the Abyss DLC is said to include new maps, environments, new boss characters, enemies, NPCs, and new weapons and armor.
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition for the PC, which includes all content found in the console release, will be sold Aug. 24 via Steam and Games for Windows Live.
The title will include an untold chapter in the world of Lordran where the player must stop the spread of darkness by facing and defeating the Dark Knight Artorias of the abyss.
Developed by From Software, Dark Souls is an action RPG in which users must combat difficult enemies with minimal save options.
The title was released in Oct. 2011.
